Youth Jiu Jitsu

Our Youth Jiu Jitsu program is split between two different classes: Little Ninjas (4–8 years old) and Samurai (9–13 years old). Each class allows students to receive age appropriate training to set them up for their future in Jiu Jitsu.

Little ninjas

(4–8 years old)

We make sure our younger students are set up with a strong foundation to thrive in class now and years in the future. Our instruction is built around teaching the fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu, physical movement, and mindset. This program will help your children develop as martial artists and more importantly, people.

Body Coordination

It is important for children to know how to move their bodies before diving into complex Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Through different drills, activities, and games, we guide them to discover their hand-eye coordination. In turn, this will help them with strength, mobility, flexibility, and overall movement that can translate to other sports.

Social Interaction

This is right around the time your children are in preschool or early grade school. Being able to engage with peers is a crucial skill to develop. We make sure that all our students are participating as a team, not just as individuals. The social skills they’ll gain on the mat will help them in school and everyday life.

Fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu

This is where we start with the very basics of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Our concepts are kept simple to build your child’s initial understanding of the art. These fundamentals will set them on the right path in their journey. Whether they want to become competitors, have a steady workout regimen, or learn high-level self-defense, it’ll all start here.

Technical Training

This is where we start to get technical with our training. Students are taught more in-depth moves and techniques to expand their game. This helps them progress further and further as martial artists.

Building & strengthening the body

One of the best benefits for Kids Jiu Jitsu is the physical components. Children begin to become more well-rounded athletes through training. The strength and conditioning aspect will help them in other sports as well as in everyday life. Gaining flexibility, mobility, and agility is crucial.

Introduction to competition

Competition is not something we require in our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy. Nevertheless, we will introduce it to students as an option to further their path in training. Kids Jiu Jitsu is the perfect place for this! Your children can begin focusing on competition and work harder to make the most of Jiu Jitsu.
